Se5a GTE dash board bulbs

Hi all, could anyone help me with what type & wattage the bulbs are in all the clocks on se5a GTE . Would prefer to purchase before I take all the dash out .

I would imagine that they will be BA9S base and 2 Watt.

I fitted green LEDs from classic car leds - my clock used a different size of bulb to the instrument gauges.

There is a bulb list on page 56 of the owners' handbook, which can be downloaded in PDF form from Dave Pooles' Sporting Reliants site here (there's also lots of other useful info too) :D

hi Peter, do the led replacements work okay with the se5a dash dimmer switch?

No the dimmer switch is no use with LED's but as most people always want the lights bright its not problem. The dimmer which is wired as a current limiting device could be replaced by a dimmer wired as a voltage limiting device - not done the maths for it ( to work out its wattage requirements ) but the current dimmer would not do the job and a new potentiometer would have to be bought - about a 10k pot would be fine.
