SE6A auto C3 box vacuum diaphragm

Post by Newdawn27 » Mon Jun 24, 2019 8:39 am

Morning all,So I,ve got a SE6A with Ford C3 auto box,I,m having issues getting the brake servo working I believe its related to the fitting on the inlet manifold where the brakes servo pipe,s fitted to it has a small pipe coming out of the top to the vacuum diaphragm,is this the correct fitting for the vacuum diaphragm pipe on this vehicle the small pipe was pushed into the top of the fitting blocking the brake servo pipe I,m in the process of glueing the small pipe in the top of the fitting leaving the brake servo fitting clear hopefully solving the problem but should it be fitted somewhere else ?

The auto has a different fitting to the manual, with a feed for the box as you describe (item 16 for auto, 15 for manual).

Not sure what you mean. The Servo vacuum feed is the larger 10mm stub. There is then a pigtail pipe which takes the vacuum feed via a 4mm ID pipe to the modulator on the gearbox. Do you have the pigtail fitting?
