Nyloc and castelated nuts on front suspension

On the various places on the front suspension, what nuts to use and why? BZP = bright zinc plated.
Front suspension all nuts. Nyloc - use stainless or BZP? Nut slotted (castellated) use stainless or BZP?

BZP I would say. Aside from the differing strength of stainless against mild steel, there's the chance of stainless "picking up" on the threads. Had that a few times..albeit not on Scimitar suspension.

you seem to be doing the same jobs as me at the moment Dennis.

I presume it has something to do with torquing.
The upper ball joint does not have nylock nuts which is different to all other nuts of that size on the front suspension. they do have a spring washer.
they may have been used for the upper ball joint so that they can be removed to check the trunnion bolt is turning within the eyes without haveing to replace them every-time they are removed as they should be.

Castellated nuts have been used where a turning force is applied to the nut- wheel bearing, trunnion, upper fulcrum. i suspect using nylock in these position may come lose.

The larger 1/2" unf nylock nuts are all positioned where a bushing wont be rubbing directly against it and clamped into one position.
