165 x 80 x 15 tyres

Been looking at the price of decent quality 165 x 80 x 15 tyres suitable for Coupes and early Sabres . For a tyre that was so common many years ago they are so pricey now .
Found that Brown and Gammons the MG specialist have bulk purchased a large quantity of Toyo 330 tyres in this size . £69.95 each or £264 for 4 . Www.UKMGPARTS.com . NTDWM but thought somebody might find it useful .

Camskill up in Whitehaven do a Continental CT22 £50 a corner or a Vredestein Ttrac2 at £47 a tyre those Toyo's you mentioned, also £47 a corner, makes the Brown & Gammons expensive by my reckoning, which reminds me to bloody well order a set whilst available.

SE4c rebuilding. SE5a similar it seems!

the Sabre Six is fitted with 185/65x15 on 5.5J rims, using Vredesteins, which weren't too expensive. and can be used on 5J rims, according to a Goodyear Tyre Data book. If you have 4.5J rims, which are standard for 165's the 185's will be too wide. Hope this helps.
