Two Scimitars

I've not seen a Scimitar on the road for months, then two this afternoon. On the A46 just outside Tewkesbury about 1330. A cream / beige 6 towing a BRG 5 on a trailer. The 5 looked like a race / sprint car, white circle and possibly a number on the door. Only a few miles from Prescott, so I guess th...

basic spazz tools i have. Tom I don't know how limited your tools are, but you need to get the basics sorted I think. Half way decent tools are pretty cheap on E Bay. I'm not sure, but i quess the 6a is mostly imperial, so something like http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DRAPER-11PIECE-COMB-SPANNER-SET-AF-IMPE...

No problem, the battery is not going anywhere in a hurry.

If / when you would like it just post on here, I log on most days and will be in your end of Gloucester most working days.

Just need to add a battery to the list of "sh...stuff to get" etc Tom I've got a surplus, nearly new Halfords battery you can have for a nominal sum ( how does £10 sound? ) I bought it new last summer, it did a few months in my 6b but by the autumn I decided it was not really big enough capacity ( ...

wore wooly bobble hats and rally jackets, and had beards (anyone here?? ). Guilty to two out of three counts. ( No rally jacket, but very little hair left on top so woolly hats are needed to keep open top driving going as long as possible into the winter, beard because I like it, and it saves time ...

This red SS1 sold on E Bay a few months ago. I remember it because its registration is one up from mine.

The AA would get my vote too.

Probably not the cheapest option, but I've been with them for 30 odd years now and have no complaints, whenever any of the family have had to call them out they have always been quick, pleasant and efficient.

GTC on A49

Saw a yellow ( ish ) GTC on the A49 between Church Stretton and Craven Arms travelling north mid afternoon yesterday.

If the owner is on here I was the silver Mondeo flashing at you. ( On holiday with the family, the boss vetoed taking my 6b )

What a mess!!

Thank God no one was hurt, cars are replaceable, people are not.

My SS1 is off the road at the moment, I will now certainly replace all the petrol pipes before she drives again.

Why do I do these things???? Two hundred miles throu...

Seems like a very good idea to me. A separate section means you only need look if you are interested, if not you can just ignore it. I've never owned a small Reliant, and probably never will ( though every time one of the little Fox camper van conversions comes up on E bay I try to persuade the boss...

" I also need to replace the track rod ends but can't shift the locking nuts at all " have you tried fitting spanner to the locknut, then putting a car jack under the spanner end and gently raising the jack? I've loosened a few locknuts this way, when I had just about decided they were not going to ...

Greg

have you seen E Bay 160318298146. Looks a nice example of 1400 CVH, galvanised chassis. About three days left to run, current high bid £970.

Nothing to do with me, I just like to keep an eye on whats on E bay ( thats how I ended up with a 6b and an SS1 )

best of luck with the search
