Spotted on Tv & Film hire

Just browsing through a hire company that hires classics out to TV and Film with a thought to hiring my 1977 MGB GT and 1998 Rover Sterling out and came across this https://www.filmcars.co.uk/cars.php?vie ... car_id=257 Anyone on here.

Seized clutch friction plate?

Do what I did when I wasn't using my Scimitar, just run it up to temperature once a week, press the clutch and put it through the gears (with engine off) and press the brake peddle to stop the seals sticking in the cylinders. I never kept the handbrake on to stop that seizing on. Regards Terry H Edi...

Springs, Dampers and Bushings

You could also check the rear bumpstops while you are checking for the exhaust knocking.

Inner tube to stop air leak

Not that your situation is petrol related but I once had a weeping leak on the bottom of a petrol tank, I drained the tank cleaned and ruffed up the surface spread JB weld over it left it over night and filled up the tank the following day. That car passed 7 MOT's with the tank like that and never l...

Inner tube to stop air leak

Try ruffing the area up and spreading some JB weld over the area, you have nothing to loose in trying.

Power steering fluid

EP80/90 is gear oil usually used in gearbox and rear axle. I have always used normal ATF in the power steering rack on all my cars.

Right angle clutch hose fitting

I would have thought the bleed nipple would be at the top so you can bleed air out of it, it looks from that photo that the slave has been fitted upside down.

Sprouts!

Love a curry, but apparently curry was originally invented by the British to mask the taste of bad meat so I suppose it could do the same for the taste of sprouts. But I still hate sprouts :barf: :barf: :barf:

The "Mighty" SE6 - Internal Recycling

I will hopefully be over the garage in the morning fitting the gear stick into the MGB the correct way round, so if you want to pop down you can use one of my garages to work in and keep dry. Try connecting the new sealed beam unit to the bulb connectors. If that works it has to be the bulb at fault...

The "Mighty" SE6 - Internal Recycling

The wiring diagram I just looked at that Peter Freeman put on his Noggin site shows the offside running from the main harness with the nearside branching off it. Which would mean it can only be a connection fault or earth or duff bulbs if you have off side working and nearside not working. The diagr...

The "Mighty" SE6 - Internal Recycling

I can't remember if there's a relay on the SE6 main head lights or not Tom. I have a vague recollection of a relay being on either main beam or normal head lights. But can't remember which. The wiring diagram should show that.
