I thought we had a committee member who handles such things ? We may well have a committee member who handles such things but this guy didn't contact that person because the letter was left on my Rover P6 outside my house. I posted this tread because the guy asked if I knew anyone with period cars ...

Hi all, I know this is probably the wrong forum but it's as close as I can get. A guy just contacted me wanting to use one or two of my classics in a film Documentary about rock music in Newport and the record store that used to be upstairs in the indoor market here in Newport. The owner of which us...

Vintage Voltage on Quest

Very fast, Nissan leaf, I was at the traffic lights in my Celica and a Leaf pulled up on my right hand side. Fortunately for me I was turning left, I say fortunately because this leaf was gone like a rocket and in a traffic light pulling of fast race I would have been very embarrassed to be totally ...

You will also notice that the abbreviated language they use is creeping into how they talk to you

As a 70+ year old I've never understood this texting malarky. You type in a message on a phone that you can talk to someone on :? and then wait for an hour or two for a reply from the person you could have talked too  and are wondering if the message was received in the first place. I just spe...

Might have a spare if you need one!!
Was that answer to my Rev counter or Diyhell' s Overdrive.? If it's rev counter, it's for the Rover 2000TC not the V8. Apparently they are different.

I paid US $51.00 postage for a rev counter Phil. It's a light, small package. It was a buy I couldn't resist at £31 for a NOS one. They are £180 new here. Speaking of a purchase from China, I bought a Denim flat cap for £3 including postage and it arrived in 2 weeks. I bought an electronic ignition ...

You don't get a receipt from Halfords!

I have always had a receipt from Halfords. I gave them my email a long time ago and have no problem with that, they always ask for my email when I go in there but no longer tell them as they have it. How can you take something back if you don't have a valid receipt.

Thanks both, I was aware that it was the US postal service. Just trying to understand how they would deliver in the UK, what company would they use etc etc. Given that the flight from Chicago is approximately 7 and a half hours I would have expected it by now.

Hi All, Anyone heard of a courier service called USPS, not to be confused with UPS. I know it's an American company but not heard of it in the UK. I ordered a part for my Rover P6 from a gentleman in PITTSBURGH, PA 15221 on the 03/06/2020 and still waiting for it. I tracked it as far as Chicago but ...
