Re: RX8 6 speed gearbox in a GTC.

I understand that the fuel and oil consumption is excessive. I read somewhere that 5 litres a week of fully synth. is not unusual. Has to be fully synth to keep the warranty. Re: RX8 6 speed gearbox in a GTC.

Speedo, prop shaft and gearbox mount are probably no harder than a omega conversion.
Cossy V6's are not on my shopping list, price of a gasket set makes my eyes water.
Yes it does look like a long box plus the 32mm spacer. That might be the killer.

RX8 6 speed gearbox in a GTC.

This is an interesting Ebay ad in its own right. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251678446716?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I was particularly struck by the reference to fitting an RX8 six speed box to the cossy v6. Does this mod also apply to the cologne engine and has any on...

In the past someone suggested these might be made to work.

Not too expensive if they don't.

2, Insure vehicle in your name,
3, Arrange with seller to be taken to local post office.

GTC big ends.

Good evening all, i've started to overhaul a granada 2.8i cologne engine as a spare for my GTC. Currently fitted with a capri 280 injection engine. The crank conrod bearings appear to be in good order, however the shells are showing the copper backing in places. The Haynes manual for the capri says ...
