Re: Reliant paint codes with ICI ref

Try "paints4u.com" I have used them several times on different cars with great success. Just get a touch up sample first to check the colour match. They do recognise D371 as Aztec.

Re: GTC windscreen wipers

Thanks Jim and Crusty. Bundy tube has been successfully straightened. Next problem. Having purchased two wheel boxes one 32 tooth and one 40 tooth as detailed here:- http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4946 I find that I have two 40 tooth boxes fitted to my GTC. Is this specific t...

Yes it is, the outer nut was well seized.

Thanks Roger, I'll contact them tomorrow.

GTC windscreen wipers

Good evening all. Last weekend I endeavored to repair my seized up front wipers. After an epic struggle I managed to remove the wheel boxes and bundy tubes. Part of the result is pictured below. Can anyone confirm that this tube is supposed to be straight as pictured in the parts manual. If it is wh...

Re: wheel wax/spray and cleaning products?

Wonder Wheels is great for cleaning wheels.
It also cleans rust stains out of plastic header tanks.
It does however contain Hydrochloric Acid and it stains stainless kitchen sinks.(comes off with a Brillo pad)

Re: Exhaust - Centre rubber hangers

I've used these,

I don't know how long they last though. They fill the hooks on the chassis, I had to secure them with cable ties.

Re: GTC prop shaft-Progress report.

Hi All,

"A1 Propshaft, Bootle", swopped axle end from auto shaft onto GTC shaft and balanced.
Really good job, fast (Half a day, once he got the auto shaft), £40.00. BARGAIN.

Re: GTC prop shaft

Its a single piece shaft with CV joints at each end (I have just discovered). The gearbox end has a sliding joint. QRG want £252 plus delivery. Not out of the question but I will shop around for a bargain. What would I describe the gearbox splined end as? It's a 4 speed plus o/d box. Thanks for all ...

GTC prop shaft

Hi Guys, I'm really struggling with my GTC prop shaft. I removed it to enable easier handbrake cable replacement. The diff end seems remarkably floppy with bearings and moving bits visible through the missing rubber seal. There are no traditional Hardy Spicer joints on this shaft. The gearbox end se...

Re: The adventure never ends

I went to have a look at this car late last year. I know this is a work in progress. Bob was doing well until his illness got the better of him. The body really lets it down. Not much blistering when I saw it, but a lot of localised cracking. http://i1358.photobucket.com/albums/q773/RodH2/public/IMG...
