Re: Buckie 9th October

Well there you go! Cheers Roger, it is a stunning replica but still, I suspect, beyond my price range!

Re: Buckie 9th October

There should be several of the Scotland North East Morris Minor group attending & the forecast is for a dry start :) and getting better as the day goes on. Yes, the Maurice Minor crowd were out in force http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n576/forester44/IMG_0031a.jpg but this is the one I would li...

Buckie 9th October

For all those in the Northeast of Scotland there is a classic car meeting at Buckie this Sunday. It is a turn up and show event, no need to book. http://www.classicandsportscar.com/diary/buckie-car-show So long as it is not torrential rain I intend to be there so it would be good to catch up with an...

Re: Skoda Rant

As Gemini Bob says, there are good and bad Skoda dealers. I have an Octavia 2.0 TDi 4x4 and had several problems with service and warranty at the supplying dealer. Out of desperation I changed to a garage recommended by the users of Briskoda forum. Not quite as convenient but the service manager is ...

Brodie Castle Historic Wheels & Grantown Motor Mania

At the Grantown on Spey Motor Mania today, it has been a couple of years since I was last there but it was a fine show and is getting larger. A good turn out with some usual suspects on the North Scotland circuit but a good few that I have not seen before. A lot of more recent (i.e. 1980's) cars and...

Introduced as an option from 1968 and mandatory from 1st Jan 1973 IIRC. (Edit) Doh! should have read Jim's post first!!

Just proves the old adage, don't believe all you read! (probably a typo and missed a 0 off the end!)

Brodie Castle Historic Wheels & Grantown Motor Mania

Nice to see a good crop of Scimitars at this show today. A very tidy late SE5a auto from Elgin http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n576/forester44/Brodie115a.jpg Not sure where this very nice SE6a (?) was from (it was not in the programme) but it had a local plate so may well have been up here all i...

Re: No sightings, where are they/you all?

I might take you up on that offer, you have a lot better weather than we have been getting this summer. They are evacuating parts of a housing estate in a town about 20 miles from here due to flooding!

Re: No sightings, where are they/you all?

I have just had a 1200 mile round trip from Moray to the Midlands and did not see a single Scimitar on the road. Mind you, I can't talk - I was not driving a Scimitar at the time!
