Re: Here we go again - 1800Ti this time

You're a brave man.

Like the plate, by the way, very apt for a Reliant - GRP!

Re: Hi, looking for my first SE5 or SE5a.

Welcome, As has been said there is a wealth of info on the site and do not be afraid to ask questions as there is also a wealth of knowledge amongst the members - unfortunately you picked the worst weekend to post as probably half the regular posters are at this minute standing with a drink in their...

Well done! Like the colour too.

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to do more than 908 miles in the next 12 months! Image

Re: Brodie Historic Wheels 8th Aug 2010

Just been reading the "people's choice" thread on Curborough and funnily enough some of the most interesting cars (IMHO) yesterday were the unrestored vehicles that wore their age and "wear" with pride: -

Re: XKP590S

Looks like it has not been on the road since 2002. Here are the DVLA search details: - The vehicle details for XKP 590S are: Date of Liability 01 05 2002 Date of First Registration 01 05 1978 Year of Manufacture 1978 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2994CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export M...

Brodie Historic Wheels 8th Aug 2010

Almost the only Reliant there today but helped out by a 1999 Robin and Bond Equipe! A few photos from the day.

Re: Starting & Alternator

Just back in from putting the alternator on, no ignition light and 13 and a bit on the gauge. Sorted but for the fact that the fan belt now seems a bit loose and I have the adjustment at max so I suspect a new one of those will soon be on order too. http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/images/smilies/...

Re: Starting & Alternator

Thanks Jim, Expensive week then, new alternator as well as the stainless pipe & hoses (GW doing their usual speedy delivery too!). Yes, just trying to start the car as normal by depressing the throttle once then cranking. I suppose it has been doing short trips but at infrequent intervals (10-12 mil...

Starting & Alternator

Ignition light stayed on until revs were over 1100rpm. car drove fine but when back at base light came on again at tickover. Car has standa...

Merry Christmas!

OK, I know it is a bit early but I came on these when I was looking through some Scimitar stuff today.

Wolfrace Slotmags - Remanufacture

Following on from a recent discussion about 15" wheels I asked Wolfrace if they were able to manufacture a batch to Scimitar specifications. The reply was: - Thanks for the email. Next year is Wolfrace’s 40th anniversary and we are currently looking at bringing back the Slot Mag in its original guis...
