Ti wheel centre caps

Can someone please tell me the size of the centre caps. I’ve sent the wheels off for powder coating without measuring them 😊
Cheers.

Mixed nuts!

Cheers Philip, there seems to be washers/ inserts in the wheels. They are the ti wheels. I’m not sure whether to buy the chromed or stainless nuts or use ‘normal’ nuts with plastic black or chrome covers. The wheels are going to the powder coaters in a couple of weeks to be done in bright silver. I’...

Mixed nuts!

Hi all, just wondering which wheel nuts I should use as I have 2 different sorts on my car.
Also does anyone have a front wheel bearing seal I could buy? I have managed to badly bend one of mine 😩

Rear hub

Thanks. I’ve tried pushing using a hub puller with a socket, a large hammer and socket but it’s not budging. Is the circlip holding in the bearings? And is it behind the hub?

Rear hub

Hi all, can anyone tell me how to separate the rear hub from the carrier? I need to replace the bearings on both sides. The units are off the car by the way.
Cheers.

Does anyone on here own a red SE6b Reg VEH 110X? I know that it was last on the road in 2015.
Cheers.

Chassis prep

Hi all, I’m currently cleaning off the chassis of my SS1, galvanised, and was wondering if I would be better off just cleaning off the muck and painting it. It’s very solid with at least 95% of the galv still intact. My first thoughts were to have it blasted and re galvanised, too expensive, or to h...

Wishbone strengthening

I already have new ball joints and bushes from GW, just need to extract the old ones!
The strengthening of the bottom wishbone was the welders idea, not sure if he’s come across SS1’s before! I’m really pleased with the outcome and all for less than one replacement strengthened upper one from QRG.

Wishbone strengthening

I’ve just had the strengthened wishbones back from the welder, really pleased with the work. Is there an easy way to remove the bottom ball joints and old bushes?
