FAO MICK GAUGHRAN - URGENT

It isn't a virus (initially at least). It is a phishing attempt to get login details. Whether there is a malware effect too I don't know as I went no further into it.

Light throttle jerking

When we had grief with our 924 sprint car on 45’s the Dyno guy reckoned if the screws were out any more than 3 turns the jets were wrong. We were told the idle jets or progressive jets as they are, only work up to around 1500- 2000 revs anyway then the pumps and mains take over. Ours eventually end...

Light throttle jerking

Just checked and they were 2 turns out which to me points to it being lean. Standard internet myth! The starting point is three turns out and most end up nearer 4. I am surprised that he suggests .65 without re-running it on the dyno because that in my opinion will make the idle and progression rea...

SE6A auto C3 box vacuum diaphragm

Morning all, I,ve got a SE6A with Ford C3 auto box, I'm having issues getting the brake servo working. I believe its related to the fitting on the inlet manifold where the brakes servo pipe's fitted to it. It has a small pipe coming out of the top to the vacuum diaphragm, is this the correct fittin...

Ians GTC rebuild. Now she runs.

Radio feeds come from a pair of short bullet connectors. They are not easy to see although clear on the factory manual's loom diagrams. Look below the windscreen line and behind the speedometer on the scuttle. One is permanent live, the other is ignition switched live.

My dad's SE6b for sale

On the flip side of this, one thing that does get on my wick is when I advertise a car and people try and knock me down on price by declaring they know what I paid for it. They are NEVER successful purchasers, as clearly do not understand the market conditions or the value I have added. Or that it ...

Yes, that is the Tan. I will have a look in my bits, but not confident I have any. As a long shot, you could use Vinylkote to recolour any that you can find.

Parts question

Carburettor and air cleaner was fitted to a 6b or GTC Cologne engine. It looks like a Weber 38DGAS that has the auto choke water chamber missing. The rest isn't Scimitar related in my opinion. Actually looking again I reckon that is a 6a linkage, not Cologne and the air cleaner isn't the right shape...

My dad's SE6b for sale

[ Perhaps it is just me, as a 21 year old that sees no relevance in that statement? Ah but you are not the 'typical young man' from the perspective of some of us older types. As I have said to you before, I don't have a lot of time for the 'yoof' of today, but I would be proud of you if you were my...

Asking prices are based on the vehicle's worth rather than what you paid for it. I don't think it is over priced at that, it's just a shame that you weren't aware of its value when you sold it. That's business.

drain/ replace auto gearbox oil and gaskets, Do the 1st/reverse servo O rings when you are in there. Take careful not of whether or not there is a return spring. The manual says it should be there, but some gearboxes don't and it causes much worry when you can't find it on reassembly! I stock C3 bi...

Question...SE5A expansion tank pipe layout

Check the pressure cap first. It needs to be intact and have spring pressure when tightening it up. It could be too short or even a blanking cap fitted in error.
