Fuel pump/ lack of fuel

Fuel pump/ lack of fuel

A typical cause for that problem is perished fuel lines from nylons to tank. The pump just sucks air and no fuel.

It's Yellow

The best shells are Cibie and also the most expensive. They have very impressive beam shape and cutoff too. LED bulbs work really well in them. Next step down is the Wipac Quadoptic. Not as good as the Cibies, but pretty good particularly with standard bulbs. The no name and "angel eye" types can be...

I'd say that as a T-plate Se6a, it's almost certainly Aztec
Aztec is a nice colour, some of the early Robins were done in that colour.

My GTC turned out to be Nevada apparently, unless they just labelled the tin with what I wanted it to be? :-)

Low fuel light SE5a - how does it work?

I see the fuel light is controlled by a little 'can' under the dash with four connections, inside which seems to be a sort of points contact and a what looks like a bi-metallic strip? It looks pretty simple..... Is it adjustable for sensitivity? Yes that is the fuel warning light controller. Not su...

London T-Charge

My GTE se6a 1981 passed it's MOT last month with figures of CO 0.08% ( max is 4.5% ) & HC 275 ppm ( max is 1200ppm ) so does that mean I will be banned from all cities then ? Then your engine is set up wrong, sorry! You should set no lower than about 2% CO or you will be far too weak potentially le...

Yes, the differences are many. A 6a chassis should be easier to find though.

SE6A centre exhaust hangers (O ring type)

I sell some decent ones at £2.50 each that last a while. However it is a very harsh environment and most people don't adjust the exhaust to hang correctly, so one always breaks first.

pouring a generous amount of wd onto the mechanism the door lock now works from inside and with the key, Was it wet then? You will need to clean out and lubricate that mechanism now. Maybe some brake cleaner will do the clean out. Then a drop of clean engine oil maybe to lubricate it, app...

SE6b Steering coupling question

A rubber disc would cause vague steering, you don't want any flex there. It is more of a shock absorber in the event of an accident, rather than a flexible coupling.
