Le Jog 2019

Thanks for posting these Mike - I'm envious :)

When will someone realise that a properly prepared SE5a would make a cracking, comfortable, reliable ride for an endurance event like this? I love it!

Le Jog 2019

Well, despite ticking one or two things off my bucket list this year, the full-fat Le Jog competitive event remains firmly un-entered. The 25th anniversary run starts this coming Saturday 7th Dec from LE, and this year the route appears to be sticking to the west coast of northern England before hea...

Mystery Car

A clever person has made this computer rendering www.3dengineers.co.uk/reverse-engineering/mystery-car-case-study/ It's amazing that this car has gained such wide publicity and yet it still remains unidentified. Especially as it appears to be so well designed and screwed together. Most one-off spec...

Will do, I'd love to get to some hill climbs with her - rallying is a unfortunately a game for men significantly better funded than I
£120 - so £60 each - for a great, full-day's sport for example: East Anglian Classic Rally :)

Yep, looking great Vic!

Don't forget to let us know if you take part in any events in 2020 so I can feature the car in the Rally column in Slice again :)

SE4 straight six for sale

From the relatively little I know of this car I would say it's on the button and ready to go. A cracking example of a rare car at an attractive price - someone buy it quick! Good luck with the sale David. Hope it's ok to post up a couple of photos here? Bowlas Lavender 1 - Cliff Porter.jpg Bowlas La...

Alternative Coupé register ;-)

It was a massive 50-acre redundant aluminium factory, I'm guessing somewhere in Cumbria or north Lancashire as it was Wigton MC's rally base.

Alternative Coupé register ;-)

Just picked up on this thread, and can`t be checking each page of 48, but I thought I should update the history of SS Coupe chassis 32. This is reg WIL 2553/ DDR898C, ex Geoff Cooper in Surrey. This was sold after Geoff`s demise to Peter Keen,in 2017, who is Rallying it in the Scottish borders area...

Interesting estimate on the straight six - it sold for similar before the engine was done. And I seem to remember the photos on the previous sale made the restoration quality look questionable
Does it actually have an engine fitted? Looks awfully high at the front.

1972 SE5a Callington, Cornwall

Spotted in Tesco car park in Callington, Cornwall last weekend this Rover P6 V8-powered SE5a. Chatted to the owner - a long-time RSSOC member who had owned the car for ever and which was his only vehicle and daily driver. Plenty of patina and sounded lovely as it drove off! He said he was happy for ...

John Devlin's Sabre Six looks lovely and it's great to see it being used in this way. 42 WYD is a well-known car, having been raced and rallied by John's Dad Joe, for instance over 40 years ago in the 1978 Donnington Six-Hour Relay Race as discussed in this thread . That race footage is on YouTube, ...
