2019 CM Results

Ahoy there CMSCC people, It’s time for another championship update in the familiar form of the points and leaderboard, following the sub-aqua activities at 3 Sisters last Saturday. Sounded like Gore-Tex and Galoshes were de rigour in the paddock, although I think there’s little truth in the rumours...

Align/adjust hinges of rear hatch/tailgate

Hinge bracket (11) has threaded holes for screws (15).I've seen washers on the rod before to take up lateral play.

Some poor pics of an exposed hinge here

Align/adjust hinges of rear hatch/tailgate

It’s identical to all other GTEs - 13 is fixed to the hatch but has slotted holes (screws 15) which allow the other half of the hinge (11) to be moved to butt up to the end of the transverse bar (which is glassed into the roof).

Copied from Hemmings dated 2012 There has been a lot of confusion in the last few years about the lowering of zinc and phosphorus levels in modern oils and how these lower levels relate to classic and performance engines using standard flat tappet lifters – that is, just about every car built before...

Not for a year or two - you need to correct them Peter, or it’s mis-described.

Overdrive for SE5a 1975

Having seen the lumps of metal you removed from the gearbox, I wouldn’t swap the overdrive in situ without investigating further.

Parts question

I suspect it’s Pinto - or more correctly, whichever carb the Pinto had. Does it fit the carb attached to the manifold in the first pic? Looks like a 4 bolt attachment.

Overdrive for SE5a 1975

I think Steve does mean the complete box - we have a 6a box here that could yield an overdrive but would need a prop (or can you swap/modify the output shaft?)
