SE6A centre exhaust hangers (O ring type)

The ones I have fitted don't seem to last well at all.
I would love to know if there are some better quality ones available.

SE6 or 6a automatic at Ken Allen Autowreckers in Morecambe

There is a maroon se6 or 6a automatic at Ken Allen Autowreckers in Morecambe. Its curranty sat in the storage yard not the breakers yard. Its got no bumpers fitted so cant see the reg and I couldn't get access to the chassis plate when I had a quick look. The bumpers are removed along with a few oth...

GTE on Motorhog salvage

If you are right Jim that's the same colour my car was.
Nice to see what it would have looked like.
Mine might just have to end up that colour again.

Looks like its the name of the company selling the car.

ASM AUTO RECYCLING LTD

That car looks to be a similar colour my se6 was originally going by the blue that's showing through the paint chips on my car.

I bought another car...

I still miss my 190e that I had a few years back. Still regret the day I swapped it for a slightly newer C class. The 190 was a great car as it could be fixed with a set of screwdrivers & spanners. More or less everything was easier to fix than the later stuff that always required plugging into a co...

Are you having trouble starting?

I've always got a couple of cans of the nulon product sat on the shelf in the garage.

A mate of mine who lives in Australia brought a few over for me a more than a few years back.

I have bought quite a few things from Isaydingdong.
Superb quality and service every time.
They even do some quite nice self adhesive metal etched scimitar shields.

Heaven and Hell

Stu after the time it took you to find your scimitar its sad to see your last post. :o I do know how you feel though. My scimitar is still sat outside in the garage with no forward progress. :? I was considering throwing in the towel with my scimitar after it was broken into and parts were sto...

Parts for sale

Glad its not just me that thought the £400 door frames were a bit OTT to say the least. If I get the rest of the car right and the door frames are still holding me back I will be contacting GW and QRG but thought I would get some used ones easier. I know what you mean Jim. Most of the seller...

Parts for sale

Agree to a certain degree as I have experienced the same when selling things. (both car and not car related) Also agree that some things are worth more as component parts than as a complete car. (one of my other hobbies is r/c cars which if I sold one I currently have it would raise £300 max but in ...

Parts for sale

I have been trying to get some parts for my Scimitar recently. Some that it needed because of age/previous owners handiwork & other parts I need because they were either damaged when the car was broken into or stolen from it by some local skip rats. In recent weeks the types of seller I have come ac...

Brake fluid

My experience of silicone brake fluid is generally positive but as has been said silicone fluid doesn't play well with other brake fluid. Many moons ago I bought a damaged kit car that had not only a small plate pop riveted to the bulkhead but also the stickers/labels all over the master cylinder th...
