Just fitted an EFL 90 oil filter ..

I have been using Mann filters in all my cars including the Scimitar for at least 20 years. No problems. I think all this fuss about genuine Ford EFL 90 is a load of bull.

I think the idea was pinched from Jaguar. Mine works OK if I use it regularly , otherwise it needs a few sweeps before the friction discs in the motor will change position.

It could be that you have wear in the steering rack, or in the track control arms/track rod ends. With the front wheels off the ground, grip the wheel & tyre top and bottom and feel for any rock.
