pour a little diesel fuel around the base of the dizzy and block -
Then remove the vacuum advance unit and apply a filter strap to the body and twist.
If this fails then sump off- oil pump off and drive the dizzy out from below using a nylon or wooden drift

Are there any puddles or moisture on the inlet manifold recesses .
I would check the tightness of all 8 bolts.
Pull the plugs out and check electrode colour maybe post a picture.
You could be trying to burn coolant , and you did say the temp was rising.
This will give a misfire and loss of power

I had to modify the irons

If it's an original coupe bumper then its unlikely to fit an SE5
The width is narrower and the mount points are different
