Shere Hill Climb 1 Sept 2019

Well the weather was great, which ensured a good turnout of spectators, with around 200 participants taking to the hill over three runs. There is always a very eclectic mix of cars, with everything from Ferraris and Bentleys to Fords and Minis, with just about everything you think of in between, spa...

Fingers crossed you get in with the Coupe. It would be great if 3 Scimitars are present.

Shere Hill Climb 1 Sept 2019

I've got an entry with my SS1 (4th time of trying, although my Abarth 124 Spider has been accepted for the last two) and I believe there is a GTC entered. Can't see your Coupe on the entry list, or are you just attending?

Roger's Scimitars - Exciting News

The 'passing shower' you refer to Roger, that had you running outside to put up your hood, was a little too prolonged and accompanied by high wind for those of us 'plebs' trying to have a picnic! It sent several parties scurrying off to seek shelter from the trees. With the help of a couple of golf ...

pop-up headlights NOW INCLUDING HIDDEN HEADLIGHTS

A few months ago I was approached, via Instagram, by a guy in the USA, who had spotted that I owned an SS1. He was currently putting together a video featuring cars with pop up (or similar) headlights and asked if I would mind taking some video of my car and sending it to him for inclusion. This is ...

Roger's Scimitars - Exciting News

Well done Roger! I entered mine a couple of years ago and received a nice reply saying that it had been a close call but, unfortunately I wasn't successful. I'm hoping to be there, so let's hope the weather is good!

Brooklands Members Classic Car Show & Jumble

Gave the SS1 a rare run out yesterday and glad I did too! Came away from the event with a First In Class award, beating a DB7 (3rd) and Golf GTi (2nd), which was most unexpected. Whist the show is for members only, the public are still admitted and the good weather saw an excellent turn out. All mem...

OYT 633F chassis 0631 (Rover V8) was out at Brighton Classic Car Rally looking fantastic after its recent rebuild.
Not quite up to date news Chris....I included a couple of photos of OYT in my London to Brighton article back in Slice 284.

Chris, I can report that no. 631 - OYT 633F is still on the road and owned by Graham Florence of Woking, Surrey. I spoke with the owner at this years London to Brighton Classic Car Run (I believe my report on this will be in the next Slice) and took the below pic. Still dark blue, with red leather i...

Didn’t Mike have a GTE too? Is it possible that he had two coupes (he did say “1st....Scimitar” to Dave)? You might be right Jim. Dave's press photo with Scaffold member John Gorman in the boot could be Mike's first Scimitar and maybe had the registration CCM 1C.... is this why the registration is ...

I don't think that's Mike's car in the pic Dave. The wire wheels suggest it's a straight six and the pic below, which was presumably taken soon after he got GBG has steel wheels.
