Re: Bourse de Créhange, Faulquemont

EDIT Just noticed that although the meeting was in France, ALL these registrations are foreign! Créhange is just 50 km approx. from Luxembourg or from the german border and i saw many belgian cars also. The transporter seemed to be registered in the UK but i could not find a MOT- or tax-badge. Howe...

Re: Meeting in Germany!

Phil, i hope that you had a good journey back to the UK. Thanks again for the pleasantly evening and for the delivered goods. The front shocks are mounted now and i have the feeling to drive a new car....;).

BTW: »Schlehe« means »blackthorn« or »sloe«. Cheers!

Re: Where do you buy your Parts in Europe?

Eric: Did not know that such a list exists, although I have seen some online (like Windscreen from this Ford and front brakes from this etc.) Definitely I will go and by one. You will find the alterparts-list very helpful and I would recommend to order the »Supplement to Workshop Manual« also... ht...

Re: Meeting in Germany!

It's just the light, Bob. And perhaps you're not used to seeing such shiny parts on a Scimitar ! Never mind and have a look at the so called »shiny parts« a few thousand miles and a holiday in Lorraine later... afterHoliday.jpg afterHoliday2.jpg It's a shame, isn't it? But i am very h...

Re: Meeting in Germany!

I've just a very pleasurable afternoon chatting about Scimitars with MarcOS who kindly drove over to my hotel to meet up! Just goes to show no matter where you are, Scimitar and Sabre owners are everywhere! Marco had to shoot off before I thought to take a quick picture of his very nice RHD 6a... P...

Re: Shooting Brakes

If you like your Saabs, here's a real one seen at the Goodwood Breakfast Club at the beginning of this year :D : Saab-1.jpg Saab-2.jpg According to your opinion, i owned my first shooting brake in the early 90's. It was orange. And it also had an Essex-engine... Good to know i owned one... :P Here ...

Nice looking car, good to hear you're enjoying it :D Thanks Roger. Yes, i am enjoying it very much. But like so often, blistering and painture cracks are not shown in the pictures... The odd looking car with the wrong-side-steering

Ladies and Gentlemen, i looked a few months for a nice SE5a with manual gearbox and overdrive. Then i had to consider that the SE5's interiors size would cause some problems for me, because my two kids would have just too less legspace. Then, in the meantime, i almost bought another Alfa Romeo, a ea...

Re: Newbie, maybe...

There are some very nice SE6 models around for sale at the moment at knock down prices (and are still over 30 years old - if that helps in DE); I would say look for a car which fits what you are looking for (cost and condition) rather than specifically looking for an SE5 or SE5a. Welcome Marco - we...
