More interestingly, Nankang do a 175/80 r14 H. 1% speedo error. And under £40 a corner ( not fitted). Looking promising. Cheers ...Can't remember the make now as the car has gone (drove it down to near Ross-on-Wye on a lovely, hot Good Friday) but recently got five 175x14 (full profile tyres), all ...

If they're like the earlier SE5 one they go the consistency of liquorice which causes clattering - especially on an uphill take-off....Back light could be an oxidised bullet connector but, as you say, most likely an earth..........But am sure all is resolved by now?

Yesterday afternoon: a lovely metallic 'golden sand?' sixties S-type Jag. in the distance, turning onto the road towards Leek - local car, I think, as am sure that have seen it on the forecourt of the local garage. Later in Leek a 'K' plate MGB GT in what looked suspiciously like 'Nevada Yellow' :sh...

Interesting, Peter - I did over 47,000miles in an MGA Roadster without a claim....so far have done nearly 20,000 in the SE5 - oh & about 29,000 in the Herald along with 3,000 in a seventies MGB GT a couple of years ago & odds & sods in others that were acquired to sell on. I think that you realise t...
...No I wouldn't go less than the original spec. size on the SE5, Roy - I have 185.80 x 14's on original steels....as Phil intimated these will be on a Spartan kitcar - interestingly when I took the remaining 4 wheels in to have the tyres put on, Pete said that they were specified for the base versi...
yes 185x14 and at least 20 yrs old but stored in the loft in the dark ...Thanks ever so much but have 'bit the bullet' & gone with some vintage-looking 175 full profile jobbies through my local firm 'All Car Exhausts & Tyres' in Leek - Pete put one on one of the Sierra rims & jacked up the car & pu...
Part worns are around £25-30 by the time you've got them fitted Geoff (the tyres might be cheap but they sting you on the fitting charges)- new ones are £33.99? Oh I see, Phil - will also sound out 'All Car Exhausts' in Leek ...I know Tom who owns it & his son who co-runs it - &, of course, will ch...
Possible temporary thread hijack warning! :D ....Am in temporary possession of a Spartan kitcar (Phil H.may have noticed it on his travels...) I did spot it :D For reference, Geoff, the SS1 uses a 5.5x14 alloy as standard and use 185/60x14 tyres. To get the right size appropriate to the running gea...
