It's only 25lb stone cold, about 15 at full temp and very slow to rise when revved.
That is very low, I’d actually suspect the oil pick up pipe is split

Oil pumps

I'll stick with standard then thanks. The engine was rebuilt about 12000 miles ago (but 20 years since) but the oil pressure is too low, and I'm going to have to pull the engine out anyway to investigate my flex plate issue. Says it had the crank polished and new bearings, so would hope they were O...

Oil pumps

Those high pressure pumps are just fitted with a different PRV spring to up the oil pressure. Typically on a standard engine it’s just a good way of putting extra strain on gaskets and seals.

Standard oil pump will be fine.

With this blower then maybe 180-200 or so with no lag.
180bhp of linear power should destroy a peaky turbo car with similar power 8)

Flex plate

Anyway, are the flex plates different for the Essex and Cologne, or are they box specific?? The cranks have a different bolt pattern so I would be inclined to say you can’t use a Essex one on your Cologne. Had the same metallic noise when first getting my 6a up and running, it was cracked around it...
