I use a stainless turnbuckle adjustment (Boat item left hand thread same as the original ) and I had a aluminium pulley wheel made bigger diameter to fill the turnbuckle as the cable came off the smaller one and caused a lot of grief .
it has been a lot better since.

On the 6b/GTC, I think the bumper lip was more to do with looks than airflow. It does have quite an effect on the 5 series though.

The ford escort sensor screws onto the gearbox where the cable used to fit. If it's an auto you need an adaptor first .
