Well the DVD arrived today. I've watched the 1963 Monte Carlo rally and it features 6 EUE and 7 EUE. I'm sure it was 7 EUE coming down the hill as it looked as if it was number 172 on the door as far as I could tell. Thanks Dave I had notification yesterday that the DVD had been posted but it did n...

Scimitar Type approval document

The Scimitars before SS1 (and even some after) were never homologated for Europe. I suspect they were, we just don’t have the documentation. Reliant wouldn’t have made so many LHD cars without a route to sale? I had an email from the Reliant Motor Club newsletter this morning and in it was the news...

I have got in and will download everything from the files section today.
Hi Jim Do you know, is there an easy/quick way of downloading the contents/photos? I have just logged into the Yahoo Sabre Sabre group and it seems you have to download everything individually!

Cable rating - domestic

SWA is the stuff you need. 40 metres is a fair old run so I'd definitely use 6mm minimum, especially if it's buried as you'll need to downrate it. I presume you have a CCU in your garage and I'd ensure the RCD for the sockets is rated at 20A to protect the SWA. This will be fine for the ring as lon...

shock absobers f an r replacement

Morning Jacques The poly bushes do not give the flexible movement that the old rubber bush had, and therefore is likely to damage the shaft, as you are aware and the reason for your question. The rear ones are not the problem as they move in the conventional way. Have you discussed with Gaz the stra...

Alternative Coupé register ;-)

Hi Chris After you posted your list in reg order I thought I would check out the reg of the Coupe my Father bought and sold on back in the very early 80's. The reg FYM 308C does not appear in your list. The car as far as I remember was broken up, the body and possibly (not sure) the chassis were sol...
