Thanks for the replies fellas. It sounds like it's most likely within my skill set, and from what I can see - once they are at a reasonable standard they operate fairly well.

Mark, I live just outside of Whitby. Would be interested in seeing what you've got going on.

Hi folks. A few of you may have seen my post trying to find my grandads old scimitar. He passed away and I was hoping to find out more out that specific car, potentially buy it and restore / drive it. It appears that it's probably a goner. Aye. I feared as much. My hope is that it's been stored or a lo g project. There's a chance I guess. The guy he sold it too seemed to be a propper scimitar nut.
