Well done Phil, how did you find that?
So they are both straight six?
Thought the number plate recess on the silver car looked like a V6 ...
And neither is 1970 8)

Two Coupes for sale in Cork

White one looks like a straight six, this presumably with (detached) restored chassis. Silver one looks like a V6 and could indeed be from 1970, unusually it also has wire wheels. Any clues to identify them? I'll have a rummage in the miscellaneous photos. Coupe outside is-GUO 763D chassis number 2...

Alternative Coupé register ;-)

Mike McCartney (aka Mike McGear) owned a couple of Scimitar. I was sent this newspaper clip, but sadly with no other details and I can't see the reg plate, although I'm wondering if this was: Mike told me: "Dear Dave, Charlie Leek from Argyle Motors, Bhead found my 1st khaki, black interior Scimita...

Alternative Coupé register ;-)

I would take by the original reference to “the Glass,s guide book proves it was the first coupe “would mean chassis number 10
(If indeed a straight 6 car)
Or 400401 (V6 3LCar)
Or 425001 (V6 2.5L car)

Alternative Coupé register ;-)

Not sure about this info but might be worth looking into . Slice 86 has a letter from a Dennis Mitchell, he states that a Mr Barry Beaufort has the first Scimitar Coupe reg number CCM 1C ex Paul McCartney . He says the Chassis number in Glass,s Guide confirms this was the first Coupe Chassis number...

Just to Clarify Duncan didn’t build any V8 Coupes . Don’t know who built NRF but they supposedly built 2 others , supposedly at the same time? Also don’t know who built Duncan’s Supercharged coupe either .
Duncan you out there ?
