Well you can reshell an mgb or a mini with a heritage item and still retain its original identity..so it makes sense...as it is using a factory part...I dunno I just thought thay as it's technically a model change that them good ol pains in the plums over st Swansea would hitch their corsets up a no...

I agree with Terry, you've essentially changed the model of the vehicle, which would count as a substantial change, especially seeing as the GTC was at best, being drawn up and conceptualized (hell the prototype was likely not fully given the go ahead for build yet) at the time that GTE was built.

And he makes his first mistake! Fluid check last week everything was all fine. Did the same this morning... I must have nudged the coolant pipe that runs close (and I mean literally just runs less than a quarter inch away) to the alternator drive belt. At some point in the last 7 days the pipe has s...

I've heard about the graphite powder - just wondered if things had moved on a bit, tech.-wise... Yes and no... Graphite powder is still the "old reliable" of fixes There have been dry lube sprays released (Yeah the irony of that isn't lost on me neither) that are effective but, when used in externa...

Collective Head Scratch - Exhaust Wrap ?

I have SS tubulars that have been wrapped which I'll be fitting in the next few months, I remember some point in the last decade it was a common sight to see engine bays with wrapped manifolds. And to be honest? Hearing how much fun they are to put on...I'm not sure I'll be taking the wrap off of mi...

Some of the larger/older Timpson branches used to keep their older style machines maintained which did this, but they also have their key wor...

Now I'm actually fully awake: Unlikely to be a Tibbe key as they were introduced about 1987/88 from memory but, if it is one of the Tibbe ones (that little odd shaped rectangular bladed bottom of the key) tread carefully. Tibbes generally wear faster than normal cylinder car keys (like GTE ignition ...
