Any recommendations on paint for suspension parts

My first thought was Smooth Hammerite but I don’t think it’s as good as it was many years ago , also don’t think it’s petrol resistant . Used to use Valspar enamel but my last tin finished many years ago , paints ain’t what they used to be !

Any recommendations on paint for suspension parts

Can anybody recommend a Black or Satin Black oil based paint that can be used on new suspension components prefer without primering . Also something that can be brush painted and leaves very few brush strokes and will resist rust .
Am I asking too much for a paint ?

Slice magazines

They will have to be collected from Dorking Surrey as they are just so heavy , even placed in one box they can barely be lifted. Nights are drawing in so a good bit of bedt...

Essex Camshaft gear change

Some people myself included noticed that the new timing wheel rubs against the timing cover causing a noise that can be felt from the timing cover when the engine is running . It barely touches but it’s enough to make a noise .Cured by taking a small grinder to the offending rib , just clean it all ...

Good or Appropriate Number Plates

I’m out in Gibraltar for a weeks sunshine . All cars have the prefix G then a number . Spotted G2 on a ordinary boring Japanese family car . Then G1 on the Governors car a black Lexus . Now if the owners of G1 in this country on a black Bentley drove to Gibraltar on there holiday that would create p...

And this very interesting item I will just copy direct from Slice, it is not signed but is probably by Robin Rew ... [/quote] That’s the first time I have seen reference to a No1 Coupe and the fact that it was painted white , so somebody must have seen it . Also AUE 38B more confusion over its re-ch...

Whats the 5A's original rack from anyway?
LHD Austin 1800/2200 with Shorter track rods fitted.
I thought about this many years ago , the 1800 and 2200 did have a power steering option, couldn’t find a lhd Power rack 30 yrs ago though.

6a lower wishbones - what have I done wrong!?

I can’t see where it says that. The 6 (Reliant) manual says the shims top and bottom are for camber adjustment and doesn’t mention caster at all, it later says that they’re all set at manufacture and shouldn’t need changing. 40 or 50 years on, I’d add shims top or bottom as required to set the camb...

When I looked into having bumpers made it was a company called Harrington in Vietnam I was discussing it with . They needed a perfect front bumper to copy .
