Oulton Park Historic Gold Cup

Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July 2024

This looks to be a great event, a whole weekend of historic racing at an iconic sporting venue in the Cheshire countryside.

The RSSOC has been allocated 10 spaces at this event, which can be increased if required.

From the Oulton Park website:

Oulton Park’s signature Historic Gold Cup returns with a full weekend’s action devoted to motor racing’s past on 26 to 28 July 2024. Tickets are on sale now at discounted prices.

This year’s edition of the nostalgic showpiece will feature an eclectic retro race programme, overseen by the Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC), with several special guest series in attendance too. The HSCC offering will include Historic Formula 3, Historic Formula Junior and the Derek Bell Trophy for powerful 1970s single-seaters.

Other special race organisers which will contribute to the line-up include the Historic Grand Prix Car Association, Motor Racing Legends, the Vintage Sports-Car Club and the Classic Sports Car Club. New additions will include Ferrari Club Classic and the Cooper 500 Owners Association.

This will be much more than a race event however, with an extensive off-track show to put visitors in a retro mood. Car displays, live music and much more will add to the distinct flavour of this key social fixture on Cheshire’s automotive calendar.

Admission prices have been greatly reduced from £42 to £21 and allows your car to be displayed Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the main infield. The price includes a parade lap on Sunday morning.  Passenger admission has also been reduced to £21. A whole weekends racing for 2 people £42 – a bargain, rather more economical than the Silverstone Classic and not on a Bank holiday weekend!  Camping is also available at £32 per person.

We are registered as the RSSOC. Anyone booking will need the registration of the car they wish to display, plus a picture and some interesting facts. Once the application is approved, they can then pay.

Tickets should be booked using the link:

This will take you to the webpage where you can add your vehicle to those already entered. To be part of our display use the code 1429. Please note the application deadline is 13 July at 2300.

We hope to see a gathering of Scimitars at what promises to be a great weekend of historic motor sport and perhaps become a regular meeting for us in future.
