The Norfolk Noggin normally meets at the default location of The Bell, Bawburgh Road, Marlingford, Norwich, Norfolk, NR9 5HX (01603 880263)
The normal meeting day is the 3rd Tuesday of each month and normally starts at 7 pm (1900) for those having a meal, with others drifting in by 8 pm (2000)
Due to size of Norfolk, during the year attempts are made to hold noggin in locations at the Western, Southern and Eastern extremities of the County for those who are in the adjacent Counties, so please check the Noggin website or contact the Noggin Secretary if you are visiting (Norfolk Noggin members will be advised by circular email of proposed variations) in case we are not at the default location.
Due to no Noggin in Suffolk, we also have some RSSOC members from Suffolk and Essex who sometimes join us.
It is understandable that not all Scimitar owners/drivers will want to go along to monthly Noggin meetings. It is also not compulsory to turn up in a Scimitar!
Through the Noggin we have far more to offer than just a monthly get together. A lot of RSSOC members do their own vehicle maintenance, repairs and refurbishments, so the Noggin is a great place to tap into the technical knowledge and the know-how of those in our area, and all advice is freely given. If we have not encountered a particular problem ourselves, we can usually find someone who has the necessary knowledge.
We try to attend several events as a group to display the different Scimitar models, including Small Sports, and sometimes with other Reliant models.
Events we have attended include the National Classics Drive It Day/St. Georges Day Run, North Norfolk Transport Festival, Euston Park (Thetford), Felixstowe Run (Ipswich Transport Museum organised) plus various events at Kings Lynn and Sandringham, Great Yarmouth run and other small shows and events, including Wings and Wheels. We also attempt to hold other more social events, weather permitting.
When details of shows and events are known they will be published on this page, so watch out for a full calendar of events by frequently checking this page for updates.
