Blue Thunder is AFAIK still in the ownership of Bev Fawkes of Blue Thunder Transportation (it's original owner/builder) and is currently I believe being rebuilt.
The other one I don't know apart from the pic on Dave's site

Are you sure it's a Scimitar?

Actually Craig,
you may have found the answer, it's a GTE/SS1 hybrid, obviously.

Oh dear

I remember the purple one - came down from Scotland and the bonnet was a temporary one as the original disappeared somewhere on the M6...Purple Ronnie/Purple Haze? Quick piece of kit, IIRC....

Surely Purple Ronnie/Purple Haze is Don Ross, from here, deep "dahn sarf"? or is there more than one?

Ah, so there really *were* two  This must be the other one because Don's is an Se5a. (or at least has been for the last several years.....)

That photo of the original "Purple Haze" was taken at my first ever appearance at Curborough but I can'r remember what year it was. (I think either 1999 or 2000?)

I did find these pictures while surfing the net back in 2006 :D
