Re: Move to New Server
The image resizing was what caused IE9 to have problems displaying some posts and signatures correctly. It's a fault with IE9 rather than the site but I need to re-do the image resizing so that it works on all client platforms. I can't ignore IE however much I want to!
Edit: The image resizing has now been re-established

Re: Move to New Server
Since the move things are faster but I find that when using search.php?search_id=newposts I can now only see around 12 new posts. This is ok most of the time but if there is a lot going on some can drop off the page before I have noticed them.

Re: Move to New Server
Hi Peter, See my earlier post in this thread Here, where I described the difference in the handling of the date of last visit. I feel that if you want to be sure of not missing any posts you're much better off using "View Unread" as "unread" is an absolute thing, not dependant on any other factors.

It seems to have gone back to how it was Roger - has someone been reading our conversation.

Re: Move to New Server
That's strange - mine still works the "new" way - I got timed out shortly before waiching Top Gear (terrible confession, I know, but there you are....) and only logged back in a short while ago and my "time of last visit" shows as 7:54 pm and I only get three posts when I do a "view new" - the only ones made after that time.

I think if you close down then go back in you will get the "normal" - strange things happening in pc land.

Re: Move to New Server
Just had a bit play to make sure what I said was right and to get the full new mails I had to close down firefox - restart it and select my new mails . If I hit refresh it changes from the 20 pages and leaves me with three items. Very confusing.

Just a bit more information - if I refresh and only get 1/2 doz or so messages I can then delete browser cookies and then refresh and get the full list again.

Re: Move to New Server
That's an odd one Doug... Ian's just gone on holiday for a week, but I'll have a look.
