Read the article, I don't understand the " only UK factory to make the additive has closed down". What additive? My understanding of that statement is you won't have ethanol fuel at all. What did I miss?

Mark from down under.
Current GTE 6B, Scirocco R. Past Dolomite Sprint, XJS (manual), V12 E-type (manual, convertible, lovely) 350 chev XJ6, TR6, TR4, Sprite, Midget, local Ford V8s, others... There's a pattern here.….

We will still have Ethanol in the fuel (although it wont actually save any carbon emissions) because that’s what the government said it would do. It doesn’t matter that it won’t have the desired effect.

Common sense and politics are, once again, mutually exclusive.

Phil, it took me too long to realise that political decision making is completely about looking at the next election and you and I are just pawns in the nasty game.....sorry

Me? I'm more concerned about the reports that a member of government says that our farming means diddly squat and the government is looking into whether to withdraw red diesel. Looks like the UK is heading into being just one city!

I'm glad I run LPG .although it is a byproduct of crude oil at least it will not destroy my engine as much as ethanol . (industrial methylated spirit )
