It's a MK1 Sabre / SST based body. Which is unusual for a 1400, as the majority of Sabre 1400s appear to be built on fresh bodies under Beans industries.

My observation anyway.

My old Sabre. It is SST based and upgraded by Beans to Sabre spec. Its the one that had stood around outside for a few years. Didn't have a V5. Sorry don't know how to add a link but if you want to know further it is posted under "Sabre 1400" in the small sports section of the forum. Believe it cost me £1150 on ebay in Sept 2015 plus a lot more to recommission it however did turn out quite nice in the end. Sold it to Malcolm along with the hardtop (no hood at that time) for I believe £1950. As usual lost on it but he was keen and I had by then purchased the Midnight Red one from Yarmouth and needed the funds to sort it out. A few pics attached to remind you.

I note he is asking £4000 it now so we will see if it goes for that.

I poorly articulated the above esp as I have a "mk1/ 1.5" myself  ... what I meant to ask is whether any one knew how this is registered as an sst or sabre or something else?

The description also says it's a 1400 - Gumtree's "auto completion" seems to have failed..
