se5a stub axle

Post by halfpenny » Mon Dec 05, 2016 6:27 pm

I have what is clearly a bitsa, and I need to identify wheter I have big or small front stub axles. Does anyone have a diameter dimension, or alternatively could someone measure a known big or known small outer end. Many thanks.

According to Joe/Dave, late ones are

inner bearing between 1.0" to 0.9995" (25.4mm - 25.37mm), outer bearing between 0.75" to 0.7495" (19.05mm - 19.04mm)

Many thanks Jim. If I have small end, I'll post the diameter.

se5a stub axle

Finally got around to checking this. OS has 3/4 outer end to stub axle. NS has 5/8 ( ie the smaller diameter). No surprise given the general mismatch of components on my car.
