I took the last Press photo of Jayne Mansfield before she was killed. I had her holding a black pudding, which wasn't cooked, so I said "I'll get you a hot one later" - the entire entourage , including Jayne, collapsed in fits of laughter.

I was on Motor mouth as a young boy (Saturday morning show in the late 80s)
I was on the gadget show about 6 years ago as part of the team that built a chainsaw powered Street luge.

Hi Corky,
How did that happen?
I think we must be told.

Before a complete career change in the early 90’s I was a chef. I did an apprenticeship in a rather nice 5 star hotel and went on to work in other up-market restaurants and hotels.
On this particular night I was working in Manchester not far the BBC, and a party came in hosted by David Coleman (Question of Sport host Back then). He had Kylie and Mandy Smith (of Bill Wyman fame) with him, and as I was Chef de Partie Entremetier at the time, I got to prepare Kylie’s asparagus.
Working in those sort of places I cooked for quite a few celebs of the late 80’s, but Kylie was the only one I could think of that’s still current and not in jail or dead

I was captain of my junior school football team when we won the foden cup. My late Father was captain of his junior school team that won the same cup back in the 1950's. An article featuring team photos of us both holding the trophy appeared in the local paper.
