I've been toying with the idea of taking a mould of my new 5a and making a whole new roof... But after having another look last night, I think removing all the cracked gel coat (all of it) and putting another layer of fine matting on there before flowcoating may be the best option??

John Louch flo-coated the roof of Big Bob, as the shell we used had been bead blasted and was in pretty bad shape. A few other bit were done too, but the roof was bad.

However, that was a competition car shell, that was heavily hacked elsewhere. You're going to want a perfect finish.

Ha, it’s starting to come back to me, there’d been a sunroof and you could see the join so I flowcoated it.. Should be ok if I’ve done it before :wink:
