Petition - mandatory noise waiver - motorsports venues

Post by ScimmyMike » Mon Dec 01, 2014 9:47 am

Please can you all with any motorsport interest go to this website and try to help stop the ridiculous things that happen at circuits where new people moved into the area near a race circuit then complained about the noise and are successful in getting days restricted and then like.

I live under the flight path to Manchester Airport which has grown considerably in traffic volume in the 25+ years I've been there, do I complain? no, it's good for the area and chuffing handy when I want to go on holiday, that is unless you loose your flights whilst booking accommodation and end up flying from Bournemouth instead

I don't do the motorsport but will support this as it happens all the time.

I help run our local community centre, which was built 25 years ago away from residential properties. Then a few years ago some one built 14 houses next to it. In came the complaints about noise and we had to find and spend £25,000 on air handling units because we were stopped from opening doors and windows in the summer!

Signed and totally agree. The sound is all part of the experience! I've dealt with noise complaints at Bristol Airport for the last 10 years, they are mainly from 'incomers' or people who don't understand the value that good communications bring to our region.

Over!

Done

I heard a story about a couple who moved from the city into a village near Market Harborough and bought the Vicarage; then file a noise abatement order to the local council to prevent the Church next door ringing the bells.

Petition signed. It is crazy that at venues like Donnington we have to push our cars to scrutineering when the circuit is directly under the flight path of East Midlands airport. Madness.

The Scimitar SS1 is not so much a car as a lifestyle statement; it basically says "I'm mad, and I don't care".

Never try and argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you based on experience.
