Tripmeter

Post by Merlin » Sat Jan 04, 2014 8:58 pm

For following road run route books i would like a classic halda, but in the meantime I have been using GPS on the iPhone to track distance / time. The problem has been tracking incremental distance /time / speed. I cam across the following that may be the answer to my problems. http://www.rallytracks.net/ . Anyone used this?

looks good but in general phone GPS and inbuilt accelerometers are said to be slow to update - fine on a long stage but not on short twisties?

has to be worth a try for £1.99 though?

I just wish I had chased more down when I bought mine. Tony Richardson gave me the task of finding one for our entry in the 1989 Marathon. I actually got 3 eventually, one for me one for Tony and one I traded together with a Lucas roof-light for a set of ZF gearbox bearings for the Sabre 4. You don't want to know how much I paid otherwise you'd cry.
