Rally of the Tests 31 October - 3 November 2013

Anyone doing this?

Last year was Torquay to Chester, this year is Chester to Harrogate.

Andy tells me that it's passing on his doorstep (North of Shrewsbury) on 1 Nov?

According to the Prov. Entry List, it looks as though Jonathan Amery (a member on here) is at No 77 with his GTE :)

Good Luck to him! :D

..Best wishes from me too. Whereabouts in Stoke is the stopover & where are the tests on the Sat. morn?...(I think it said there were three in total, local to Stoke....) I wouldn't mind catching a bit of it all as Stoke is fairly local...................

The route description on their website is particularly poor if a newbie wanted to follow or spectate isn't it?

..You're right Jim - they're certainly not going all-out to rake in the spectators, that's for sure................(Maybe they don't want people tagging on behind & kinda doing part of the rally for nowt!!)
A guy who worked for the same company as me at the time, 20+yrs. ago, used to hire an estate car with 3 friends & follow the RAC/Lombard rally every year - the whole event..........

Here's a link for the spectator points, quite a lot of the tests are on private property which is why they can't go into detail on all parts of the rally.

Hope a few people live near the route and get along to watch!

Well done to Jon Amery, finishing 4th in Class

Not eligible for an overall placing, but would have been around 25th out of the 70ish finishers

Great result

Thanks Roger & Gavin

It was really good fun and I can't recommend it enough. I'm hoping to get out a bit more on rallies next year as the car seems to be in good shape!

Cheers

Jon

One of the 7 rally of the tests entered, managed to finish all 7. Just shows the scimitar isn't such an unlikely rally car!
