Virtual reality

Post by td99 » Wed Dec 28, 2016 10:57 pm

Well, I've just had a chance to play with an HTC Vive virtual reality setup.
Absolutely stunning to see the experience that can be delivered in your own home.
I think in the coming years we're going to see big changes due to VR. Obviously it will make gaming a totally different experience, but there are so many other aspects of life that it will affect.
However, it requires a pretty powerful PC setup, probably more demanding on the graphics card than anything else.
My system with an Nvidia GTX 950 graphics card (which I bought at the beginning of this year for my 4K screen) was only "just sufficient for low resolution graphics".
Of course, each year video cards get more powerful and cheaper...
