I didn't try it on the new W7 yesterday. I fully expect 9.0 will load from the CD but there is no PSP website to update itself to 9.01 as they have been taken over by Corel draw people, 9.01 is needed to run the image doctor add-on. I was given it and its an expensive bit of software. Magic at cleaning up blemishes in pics with smart fill.

Re: Annoyed with W10 less so now.

Well, folks, I peered in the piggy bank and let the moths out and have bought a refurbed HP Z400 tower 16Gb, 2Tb and an Nvidia Quadro 600 dual-screen card. Preloaded with W7. Came on Thursday and its up & running on W10.
Office 2003 all works. PSP loaded and I did the overwrite with 9.01 OK. Memeo backup works. Garmin software now works which it didn't on XP after they dropped it so updated to the 2017.10 map. However Nikon PictureProject is not supported anymore, Scanjet 4300c no software but I got it loaded from an old download in compatibility mode but there is no Twain driver. Scanners are cheap though. Dell colour laser didn't appear to have any W10 64 bit driver available so I downloaded a W8 version and it works OK.

Well that looks like a good step!
is it a quad or hex core cpu?
Notice a performance difference?

Well you must be happy then :D :D :D
A modern video card like a gtx950 would be a further speed improvement but maybe not necessary.

Ha ha. Here's a little anecdote. For the moon missions NASA spend millions developing a pen that would work in zero gravity. The Russians used a pencil

It is also easily shot down ... I met the man that was lead programmer for the lunar lander and being smart I raised that one and was promptly rebuffed "Pencils create graphite dust which leads to electrical issues and short circuits, ordinary pens require gravity"

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

And look at all of the problems the Russian space program experienced with graphite dust :-)

So do you use a pen or a pencil.
Perhaps they spent a million roubles on a sophisticated sucking tube around the pencil and up their sleeve.

I use whatever I can find - that's the tricky part - mostly an iPad or iPhone these days.

I think the problems the Russians had were a little more basic, in the end the US had more trouble with arrogance than engineering and it's hard to design that out - on both the lost shuttles engineers warned management, on both occasions overuled because it either cost too much or would look bad on the record.

It's because he knew about the problems with pencils, that he was the lead programmer.....
