Video editing software Recomendations

Post by swoakes » Wed Feb 25, 2015 2:39 pm

Guys,

I have offered my time to put together a video promoting the Club sprint Championship.

I have some software on my Laptop that will do the job...sort off but its a bit clunky and long winded.

Can anyone recommend any cheap or even freeware software that will enable me to stitch together video clips and maybe add captions, music etc.

Cyberlink Powerdirector 13 seems to get good reviews http://video-editing-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

+1 for Windows Movie Maker.

Adobe Premier is also a good program, but a bit more fiddly.

It was Movie Maker I was using...seems to crash on a regular basis :?

I'll have another go with it tonight and see if I can create something as a trial

Strange that it keeps crashing - is it particularly high res?

Graphics conflict somewhere or could simply be a memory problem?

Dunno I'll stick with it for a while....my laptop had a factory reset about a month ago and is running like a dream at the moment (hope I don't regret saying that) Before the reset it took and age to boot-up and shutdown and was very slow in operation. Truly staggering difference now :D

If anyone has an Acer machine I highly recommend the "return to factory setting option" (once you have backed up your data  )

Or do a clean install without all the bloatware than manufacturers seem to thing we all need, lost count of the time at work removing all that cr*p on new PC's now we just do a fresh install from discs, much quicker in the end
Oh and you're bound to regret what you said, you just know it don't you
