MCC Exeter 8/9 January 2016

Post by alan.wells » Wed Jan 06, 2016 8:24 pm

Good luck Steve Simms this week end, John & I not competing this time, MG poorly :( look out for your timings its a bit complicated, best way is to calculate for each time schedule on your route, adding your 10mins Gold allowance, 20mins Silver AL and 30mins Bronze allowance and note your time difference and keep a record, also be wary of early arrival times.
Best efforts
Alan

Our Simms hill charge 3min 28 sec into vid after red Beatle.

We had a good trial overall. We had a lose coil HT lead which didn't let itself be known until under power on a climb which cost a fail and off course Simms hill again!
The rain never let up for the whole trial,at one section (Slippery Sam) the water was that deep a 1937 MG in front of us had the water go over his doors,we were literally floating at one point.
We might have had a roll back on a re start fingers crossed we didn't for a medal. And yes I signed all the documents this time Allan .

Great effort Steve on Simms, a little bit more speed for next year. It certainly looked wet.
