Exeter 4 January 2013

Post by stevesims » Thu Jan 03, 2013 11:08 pm

were as ready as we will ever be.
Gained more ground clearence at the front by fitting 185/80/r14 van tyres, they only fit on the front as theres not enough room in the rear wheel arch.
exhaust re- welded and extra suport lugs welded in the centre
a ex land rover diesel battery now boot mounted.

Our start time is 23:06 friday night and should be around the bovey tracy stages at 12:00 saturday were some of the dev-nog members will be cheering us on

After 21 hours ,about 170 miles, numerous litres of unleaded, one burst tyre, one removed exhaust (twice!),one headlight failure, two omitted sections and two cooked breakfasts the Exeter trial 2013 was completed just!
It was an epic, but a lot of fun
