we have entered the Edinburgh trial , one of the three classics.
only 106 cars entered which is not as many as expected.
starts 6th October ,first car away 0130 at Moto services Tamworth.
17 sections. Finishing at the Bull and Thorn pub Buxton.

Likewise, Steve..will try to get to Bull i'th Thorn..(as have spent many a happy hour, there, over the years).. My old solicitors husband used to do the course for the 'Edinburgh' - remember, many years ago, seeing a gorgeous metallic pale-blue Aston DB2 entry, parked on the pub car park.......the bumpers had flaked their chrome, with rust underneath, a big hemp rope was wrapped round the front overriders, inside full of spares & covered in mud........wonderful to see!!!!

our entry now confirmed we are car 162 one of three SS1's.
We are starting three cars after Alan and his brother ( MG)

we gave it a good go but it was rough ,retired very late on, the car took some punishment.

thats the tyres smoking, smashed the rear valance and lost the exhaust.
onwards and upwards entry in for the exeter already

Blimey Steve! That looks serious, you must have kept the clog well in.
Gotta get to one of these trials next year, look great fun to watch ( woudl use 'cool' smiley but phone doesnt do 'em)

Looks fun! And presumabley the SS1s are rather good at it? (or there wouldn't be so many!)

Be needing a scruffy replacement rear valance?

Hope the exhaust repair held up Steve & you had an uneventful trip back.....
