Wanted, SSi turbo Sprint Car

Post by Nick » Thu Dec 22, 2016 8:46 am

For various reasons I am interested in a sprint SS1.

Something like my old Silver SS1. 8 valve, not too complicated. With a least a 4 point MSA roll bar. Roadgoing or Log Booked Modsport

I don't mind some work, but not a project. Fair price paid.

If anything of interest please PM me

Steve,

Thanks, I had seen this. Ideally something needing less work, and a long way from me. I might follow up in the new year

Definitely sold. Bill Masons old car (twice), sold to Dan O'Dell and recently sold on to Neil Colley - would have been a great sprint car but the engine is quite special, so power to weight wouldn't be brilliant.

The beautifully prepared Ti of David Evans is to my understanding available due to back problems i think.

What about approaching Geoff Corderoy as well..His car has been offered up a couple of times.

RR,

Have seen Dave's car. A super job, but not quite right for me.

Geoff;s is a thought, had not realised he had tried to sell it

Might be worth contacting Wayne (Parky Pine on here ) as he has / has had various sprint prepped cars pass through his hands in recent years and may have something.

Club Sec Mr Unwin was considering selling his red 1800ti. Fair condition, mechanically sound. GW vented discs up front. Bit scruffy now so perhaps an ideal sprint candidate?

RR

Thanks for the thought. It was Parky I sold my silver sprinter to. Despite me asking for first refusal he sold it last year.

The new buyer asked me about the car. I have asked him also to let me know if he wants to sell, but have heard nothing. I do not really want to buy a car that needs converting to competition.
