or do we have sprints/trials/rally/circuit as sub-forums? currently I think the model registrars is the only area that uses this layout?

Just been to have a look at the sub forums on the model registrars. that looks perfect for us.

I think that only hillclimbing/sprinting currently warrants sub sections, so I think the forum should be as follows;

1.0 Sprints/Hillclimbs
1.1 Venues sub-section
1.2 Profiles sub-section
1.3 Events sub-section
1.4 General sub-section

2.0 Trials

3.0 Rallying

4.0 Circuit Racing

I must admit im getting a bit confused... lol!

it's easier to set up sub-sections for the other disciplines now, rather than create them later and manually move any existing threads into the correct area - doesn't really matter if they're used or not, it's just more efficient to get the structure setup early on in the long term?

Very true. I was originally worried about adding too much to the front page of the forum - but with sub sections that doesn't happen.

Shall we go for it then and ask for it be set up?

not sure if Phil can do it or whether it needs Ian? either way, is there any way we can work on a beta copy (moving threads into the relevant sections) before going live?

I'll make a parallel section, leaving the existing single section live.

Should be able to get it done in the next few hours ;)

I don't mind being a mod to shift stuff over and help maintain it if that helps.

OK Chaps - think its how you want it based on the discussions. No logos for the sections; you'll need to speak nicely to Ian for those (and supply JPEGS)

Any changes, let me know? Will be pretty much out of Internet after about 6pm today until the weekend, so if urgent, either Erik or Ian can help (anyone in orange)..

looks good - I should be able to put some time in tonight and tomorrow evening - we need to sort an action plan Nick, so that we don't duplicate each other.

looks like Dave is needed to generate some logos :-)

Looks good to me too!

I'm off on holiday early next week and away most of the weekend, so its over to you Jim :P

Just kidding! Ill be able to help up to then, and carry on after.

For the profiles, we should do dummy one for people to copy, we could use the curborough comentry sheet as a basis, I think we should encourage people to include a few more things like power and weight, and obviously a picture. Im sure CNH or one of the Steves could kick us off once we have a vague format decided.

Agreed on an action plan. Whatcha wanna do?

I can be cruel and lock the (this) current forum, forcing you to all post in the new sections, but low behold - this is one thread which doesn't belong in any of the dedicated sections.

I'll hand over to the Mods now to hack-and-slash away ;)
