A string of Bugatti's passed through the NE yesterday on their way to their international in Scotland - perhaps we will see some of them - I was going to say bump into some of them but thought better of it.

Never try and argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you based on experience.

I'm not sure whether it takes guts or stupidity to drive one of those old cars up a hill at full chat with no seatbelts or roll protection. There was a similar Buggatti (probably a replica) and a few Austin 7 specials at Thoresby last year. I was looking at their safety precautions and then their pretty quick times, and thinking that I wouldn't swap my drive for theirs in a million years.

Great to watch though

..Absolutely terrifying! (It was a 'Brescia', was'nt it? I remember in June 1983, the first little run in my MGA after it was MOTd was down to a mid-week evening show in Hope, nr. Sheffield - when I was a mile or two away this Bugatti Brescia came flying around a bend in the opposite direction on a narrow country lane, frightening me to death!! It was in the Bugatti pale-blue; I'm presuming, piloted by David Sewell who was/is an acknowledged expert on the marque & lived locally........tragically, nearly 10yrs. before his wife had been murdered in a cemetery in Bakewell & having worked there in the summer hols. until a couple of days before it happened, I was interviewed as a suspect & also a few years ago when the case was re-opened.............but I guess that's another story & I'm waffling as usual.......)

I looked the thread title a couple of times in the list and ignored it. I thought it was an advert for a fast food outlet. ;-)
