Should have tried a cone instead like yesterday...

Given how the panel fit was pre-cone yesterday, that looks worrying...

Most important thing is you’re in one piece, Steve.

Oh dear! Any damage to the trailing arm mounts or just the arm itself?
Ouch! :( and what about the wobbly sill and dodgy panel fits? :(

[Edit - for some reason this post is out of sequence with the preceding couple?]

Blimey, that's not good. Sure you'll get it sorted back to better than it was though.

S2000 for Curbs then?

Not there today unfortunately (cardiff instead ) but watched on resultsman. Massive congrats to Josh in beating my 10yr old Loton record 8) in fact he put almost 4/10ths into it! Wish I'd have been there mate, I'd have bought you a pint! :D

Corky
I'd be surprised is the chassis is bent, the trailing arms are pretty sacrifical and the body panels move quite a lot so fingers crossed you'll be OK :D
Darryl has a pair of trailing arms for me, and as hes closer to you if you need them use them and replace for me ar your leisure mate

Thanks fellas, I’ll have a better idea tomorrow when I pull the panels off.

Just got home. I need a beer, or six

In other news; it was a great weekend. I did aPB and was on for another when I binned it. Great banter in the paddock (as usual) and lots of help when required.

Great to see BC there too.

Annoying thing was, I was half a second up on my PB when I took a tight line at museum over the painted rumble strip. On acceleration the lsd spun me round into the bank. I have the in car vid, I’ll post it tomorrow.

Quickest run above. I struggled with the front brakes locking all weekend so I adjusted the bias at lunchtime today just before this run. Clearly paid off as there was more to come too. Tried a bit too hard on the last run and went sideways a lot to achieve a 57.1.

And yes, I forgot to do one of the HANS clips

Thanks Darryl, yes I’ll probably do it in the S2000. Which is a shame as I’d like to try and get my name on that trophy for a 4th time  . I’m going to check the car out this morning and put out an SOS for any bits I may need. I’ve been offered a chassis, if needed, so it will be revived somehow.

My first weekend at Loton, and I really enjoyed it. What a great hill!

Was good to catch up with everyone and finally compete with other Scims. Steve and I where having a really close battle on Sunday for the handicap.

Steve, as every one says; although the car doesn't look bright, the main thing is you're Ok. Certainly made me anxious - was watching from the holding area at the top, I missed you going up the hill, but heard it all go silent, then the red flag went up, followed by the ambulance...

Times are (From results man, so provisional);
Saturday:
Andy King 80.30s (75.38 in practice)
Nick Keyser 63.69s
Phil Howard 77.64s
Steve Cork 65.31

Josh Oakes 57.49s
Steve Oakes 63.93s

Sunday:
Nick Keyser 62.05s
Steve Cork 65.02s (64.92s in practice)

Josh Oakes 56.87s
Steve Oakes 62.32s

Congrats to Josh on the new Scim record!

There's a lot to learn - I can see why it's known as probably the most technical in the country. Loved it - perhaps should have been there all weekend after all.. Hope swapping the Loton Sunday for Blyton doesn't come back to bite us!
